Itch You Can't Scratch

Posted by Anthony Mango Monday, October 19, 2009

I had an itch on my back that I couldn't scratch. You know that spot in the middle of your back that is JUST far enough away that from every single angle, you can't reach it? Well, it annoyed the hell out of me, and the first thing that popped into my head was "figures, its always in that spot right?"

Then it hit me. No, it isn't. We all say so, but it really is just that we've become so accustomed to being able to scratch an itch anywhere else on our bodies with such ease that we almost immediately write it off as if it didn't exist. It takes the unobtainable to get us to really think about it - and since we only think about it when we have a problem, we tend to just group them all together.

We need to stop thinking that way and start thinking about the big picture.
